What Is the Georgia Pediatric Program?
GAPP is a Medicaid program in Georgia that funds in-home nursing and personal support services for children under 21 who have medically complex needs. Services are ordered by a physician and approved by the Georgia Department of Community Health. Families can receive both skilled nursing hours and personal support hours, depending on their child’s needs.

Qualifications
Who Qualifies for GAPP?
GAPP qualifiers include the following:
Children under age 21
Georgia residents
Medically fragile or complex condition (examples: cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, trach/vent, feeding tubes)
Physician-ordered plan of care
Medicaid-eligible (often through the Katie Beckett waiver)
Parent as Paid Caregiver
Can Parents Be Paid Caregivers?
Some families may qualify to be paid through GAPP when a parent serves as their child’s caregiver. We’ll help you confirm eligibility with the state, complete training, and get set up as part of your child’s care team.

If your child doesn’t qualify for GAPP, our team can assist with an appeal and final hearing if needed and or connect you to alternative programs or resources such as private duty nursing, waiver services, or community support options. You’ll never have to navigate the process alone.
